A New Journey

Hello My Dear Friends,

Its been a long time since I’ve last written and so much has happened and is happening, I can’t wait to share. SO…I’ll just jump right in! My husband and I, yes we have reconciled and some day I may share that miracle story, and our four children, will be leaving May 23rd for Kenya, Africa to serve the people there for 6 months!  We are humanitarians at heart, we love God and we love people and so when the Spirit opened up the way for this we humbly and excitedly said “yes!”.  This has been a prayer on our hearts and an idea in our minds before Forrest and I were even married. We are so very humbled that we are being given the opportunity to love and to work side by side our  friends and family in Kenya.

So many of you have already shown so much love, support and encouragement.  In fact, the reason for coming back to writing is because many of you encouraged me to do so. You expressed your desire to follow our journey and be a part of it with us.  I’m so excited! I love sharing , inspiring and testifying of God’s love and His constant miracles in our lives.  I feel like most every day is a miracle and since we have committed to this journey, not a day goes by where we have not witnessed some tender mercy or miracle.

Life right now for us is centered around being prepared for all that may be required of us. We are learning so much about the power of simplicity, purging and letting go. We are also learning so much about the power of being together as a family, studying the word of God together and praying together. To some it may seem extreme as we are living in our fifth wheel on a friends property in Hooper, homeschooling our kids and working on projects for fundraising and learning skills that we may need in Kenya. This, is also where the beauty is beginning to enfold!  Don’t get me wrong, we are a normal family , in the fact that there is quarreling and teasing, we just don’t have a lot distracting us from one another so we have more time to work things out. Its amazing to me how the Lord brings circumstances into our lives to help us come closer to Him. This is how we see this whole experience, an opportunity to detach more from the things of the world and come more into the things of eternity.  This is affording our family time to heal our relationships after 2 separations and get ready to mentor other families.  Its humbling to me that the Lord knows these beautiful children so well, that he would invite them to learn at an early age that value is found in relationships, not things.  It has been difficult for me at times to say no to extra things that I know would bring my kids a moment of joy, it has challenged me to focus on what is in the near future for them and to set my eyes on this.  True sacrifice is work, but this i know, it brings about true happiness. I know my children don’t fully understand now, I do know they find great joy in thinking and working to go to Kenya and serving the families there, and I know that the sacrifices we are making will pay off.  These children are mighty spirits and I am honored to be their mother and to help facilitate an awesome experience that will mold them and shape them in such a positive way.

For those of you who have wanted detail about our time down there, we have had a home and a car given to us, this will afford some luxury for our family as we will have running water, electricity and beds. This will allow us to take care of ourselves and our children as we adjust to the new culture. We will be working primarily in a town called Bomet, where I served last May when I went. We have residual income through Zurvita, an amazing network marketing company, who’s product has changed our lives and now allows us to assist in changing others and providing a residual income that we are able to  sustain ourselves, as well as my Mentoring and Healing business. I will be able to sustain some clientele as we will have wifi access and I do most of my appointments over Skype and Zoom.  We are grateful to 100 Humanitarians, who we are representing, who started the projects and provides for the supplies through donations.  If you want more information on the projects and to see what 100 Humanitarians is about, go to http://www.100humanitarians.com.  Most of all we want you to know that we trust in our God that has directed us to take this leap and continually places people in our path that support the cause and the work.  We understand and testify that God is truly our provider and it is in Him that we put our trust.  This is a faith walk, always has been and always will be. We wouldn’t want it any other way as we know that it is by faith that we grow close to Christ and are able to work out our salvation with Him.

Thanks for letting me share my heart with you!  Love you all!  Please feel free to post questions below and I will answer them the best that I can.  Much love to you…..until next time.  Stay tuned….the journey just keeps going and in some ways….its just begun.

The Illusion called FEAR

fearisaliar.jpg

So as I have been sitting quiet and still today, asking myself, “what do you really want to do today?”  The simple answer comes….”write”.  I love to write because I get to see the deepest thoughts in my heart and the wisdom of divine consciousness come through, I learn as I write, I find joy as I write and I am passionate about delivering messages of truth that inspire and truly make a difference.  So thanks for being the audience and thank you for your feedback, I love it!

FEAR has been the subject of my latest webinars as well as my personal journey of understanding and moving through.  I have been ravaged by fear as well as been on the other side with complete faith and love.  I have learned its actually embracing fear and expressing deep gratitude for it , that I have found the greatest peace and stepped into great personal power. See, in love, there is no resistance and it is the resistance that fear creates that we struggle and bow down to, because it is in direct opposition with the deepest part of each one of us: divine light and truth.  Fear knows no bounds, fear is rooted in lies, it’s purpose is to move it’s victim to react, thus giving up the space to truly act. Fear is based on the illusion of what we can only see and tries to knock us off base of what we feel, see and know based on faith. So here’s the deal….if you know that fear is based in lies, therein is one tool to overcoming. I’ve learned when fear rears its ugly head, most of the time it attacts my self worth, striving to create self doubt and so in this I have begun to say…”oh thank you, I can see that I am really honoring myself right now, I must be truly on the best path and I must be being so courageous because you are trying to convince me otherwise.”  Thank you for showing me that I am right where I need to be, thank you for showing up to help me be strong.”  I have found when I actually call the fear out, look at it in the face, acknowledge that I heard it and then express gratitude, it puts me back into power, choosing and acting and it diffuses the power it may have had over me!

Fear is an illusion in the sense that fear is only based in the past, in patterns of the past, in the worst and on a perspective, it does not consider light and truth and definitely does not focus on the now and the Present Conscious of Now. It’s in the now, where true power lies, for when we stay in the now, in the present, we realize that we get to choose, we get to choose something different, that we actually have power over ourselves and our destiny. Fear wants to get us to believe that we dont have control, that we have no choice, that we are shameful, bad, wrong and evil. Complete opposite of the truth. FEAR will bring up things from the past and twist it to look hopeless. When we bring FEAR into the Light of Gratitude, Love and Embrace, the battle is won!  And so my friends…..here is the call:  Kick Fear in the Rear by Embracing it and Thanking it.  Stand in the gift you have been given to choose, step into that power boldly and make a commitment to yourself to let FEAR no more dictate your state of being and consciousness.  Make a commitment to yourself to gain as many tools as possible and use them in exposing this illusion in your life so that you can step into greater freedom one step at a time.  Much love to you….God bless.

My Miracle

africanchildren

I’ve had many miracles in my life and just recently an outpouring of them as our little family prepares to go to Kenya Africa to Mentor Families as part of a humanitarian project. First, I just want to testify of a truth, when you put God first and you are on His errand and it is His will, all things work together for your good. All things flow and when you replace fear with faith, Miracles happen!

So our family goes to Kenya on the 27th of May to serve the families of Kenya, to learn from them as well as teach them principles and skills that will allow them greater freedom in thinking and producing. I have the heart of a humanitarian, and have known since I was 18 that I wanted to travel the world and give service of this kind. Africa is the beginning of this for our family, because I’ve also known that we are a “missionary” family, we serve. My children, ages 9 and 10 have been working hard to earn funds and now it is coming down to the wire and we need to get plane tickets and passports, as well as pay a few fees for the travel, needless to say we need miracles.

It was this mindset that I went into the week last week, willing to sell the furniture we own as well as anything we did not really need. On Saturday, it was my 3rd weekend in a row that I did a yard sale from donated items of others.  It was slow that day and I just kept praying and believing. It was getting in the late afternoon and we had only had a few visitors and  a few donations. My sons friend came over and I began to just talk with the Dad, for some reason, I just began to share what we were doing and explaining to him the purpose of the yard sale and our mission to Africa.  He listened politely, said good bye and I continued on  my way,  starting to clean up from the yard sale and taking some items back to a donation center. When I returned, I found him looking at the remaining items, he had picked a pair of boots and a pizza card and asked if he could by them. He handed me a wad of cash and explained that he felt prompted to give his money that he was saving for a guitar. He is a music therapist and his guitar broke and he was saving for another, but felt prompted by God to give it to me.  I thanked him with tears in my eyes and we talked a bit about his work, then he left. I never looked at the amount of cash while we were talking, after he left, I began to count it…100, 200, 300. 300 Dollars!  I bowed my head and cried. Praised the Lord and then went on with my day with a spring in my step.  Well, it didn’t end there, later that evening, this same man came to pick up his daughter. He asked for me at the door and then proceeded to hand me another wad of cash. He said “God didn’t tell me to give you some of the guitar money, He asked me to give all of it,”  I was stunned, I didn’t even know what to say. After he left all I could do was give God thanks.

The next day was Sunday. I was late for my meetings, so I went to another. Spirit prompted me to stand up and share my miracle and testify of miracles and that God hears and answers prayers. I spoke so clearly and with power and when I sat down, I had the impression to ask that it touch peoples hearts and that they would want to assist. That was not my intention in sharing, it was purely to share the love and miracles of God, but I know that when we follow promptings, we are blessed. Sure enough, after the meeting, an elderly woman approached me with a note that read: “come by at 3:00, we will help you with your mission.”  I praised the Lord and greeted another woman, asking me if I knew if the Dad that donated to us was in need of a guitar, because she had one that she wasn’t using and wanted to see if he could use it! Oh Goodness, another miracle! Names were given and I went on my way feeling so humbled and excited.

When 3:00 came around I made my way to the woman’s house and was greeted warmly and handed a check for $500. In a day I had received over $1000 in donations!  My friends, God is so good and He desires to bless us with all that we stand in need of, He hears and answers every prayer, this I can testify. When we give we are blessed and the Lord takes care of us!  As you read this today and if you feel inspired, I invite you to assist us by donating today.  We are still in need of $3000 for flights so that we can travel to Kenya to do the work. Thank you for your love and support and for taking the time to let me share my story of miracles and faith in Christ. God bless you today as you go about in faith doing good for others.

Lessons Learned in Nicaragua

There is so much that I want to share about our humanitarian trip to Nicaragua and I have some many that have asked us about our experience. Honestly, it is difficult to find the words to describe the feelings of our hearts. I was writing in my journal the other day, just starting to write down what I learned, noticed, and all the tender mercies of the Lord! I’m feel impressed to share these with you. In a small way I hope to bring you into the heart of the entire experience. There are so many aspects to this trip, I will strive to share them with grace and ease.

What I learned in Nicaragua:

1. When I feel resistance it doesn’t mean I’m bad or doing something wrong, it means I am changing, I am moving forward, I am doing profound things and I have the opportunity to change my life as well as many others. Also, that Father may be using resistance to protect and keep me close to Him so that I stay safe.

2. Always stay true to the godliness within. Allow myself to just be and to move through experiences however I feel I need to. Take care of self. Honor and glorify God by loving self and others.

3. The love of God knows no bounds. Love is the universal language. Love heals all wounds and surpasses time. Love is the language of the Spirit. It’s not about religion…we are all children of God and He loves each of us and as Disciples of Christ, we exemplify him the best by just loving.

4. Stand for what you believe in. Do not be afraid to be yourself and share your conviction with others.

5. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

6. I am blessed, running water and flushing toilets are commodities.

7. Electric stoves and ovens, a home….is a commodity.

8. Happiness does not come from having things, it comes from within, it comes from having connection within oneself, God and others.

9. A smile speaks a thousand words and heals a broken heart.

10. Laughter is the best medicine and provides sunshine to the soul.

11. God paints a beautiful sunset, Ocean waves wash away the stress.

12. There is beauty all around if we open our eyes to see, God is in everything.

13. Never give up on your dreams, especially the ones God puts on your heart. Those are the ones we need to give our all too and believe.

14. Faith is believing in what we can’t see, but know in our hearts is true because of the witness of the Spirit of truth.

15. God always provides a way.

16. Jesus is truly the light, the way, and the truth. He is the answer we are all looking for.

There were also so many miracles and tender mercies from the Lord. I will share those on another post. So look for PART 2!

Relationships and Abundance

I have been on a journey to understand how to step into the flow of abundance, especially when it comes to money. Forrest and I have struggled with money management and the making of it through-out our entire marriage and now we are beginning to understand that creating clear connected relationships are directly connected with having a flow of abundance and a good relationship with money. Life is about relationships and the more abundant our relationships the more that shows and comes together in every area of our lives. We can work hard for what we have, but if we are stepping on people and destroying relationships along the way then we are not abundant and we will not appreciate nor keep abundance in our lives. Abundance flows from the inside out, when we are abundant in love and forgiveness and gratitude and faith, we attract more abundance. When we become a resource of love, then we attract resources. Whatever is going on outside of us is a reflection of what is going on inside. If we want to attract abundance in every form then we must become abundant inside, by connecting with the source of abundance…God. One key is in improving our quality of life by improving our quality of connection with others.
Forgiveness is a big piece in assisting us in mending our relationships. Forgiveness assists us in moving out old negative feelings of anger, hatred, defiance, distrust and other negative emotions so that we can have space inside to replace it with love. Love abounds and is abundant in nature, when we are filled with the Love of God we become the energy of abundance and attract the like. It is up to us to invite abundance into our lives, it is a choice. I invite you to ask yourself what relationships you need to mend, where can you forgive and love and create that abundance inside of you? Including mending the relationship with money, money comes when we truly want it to come and have a desire to use the resource that money is, for good. Think about it in a relationship context, do others want to be around us if they don’t feel wanted or they feel used? It’s the same with money, money is energy, like anything else. We are the ones that determine its value and direction in our lives. We decide if it is going to serve us and allow us to be able to serve others on a big scale or not. We decide.
So today, I challenge you to look at your relationships and see where you can do some mending. Get clear on what your feelings are about money and if you need to change some beliefs around it, then …do it! Begin to create abundance inside of you today. God bless us all as we choose love and forgiveness and step in to the power of creating.

Going with the Flow

I’m sure we have all heard it and said it before…”Just go with the flow.” This is actually an energetic term from which I would like to expand on.  In a world where we are encountering constant streams of energy, the question becomes….”Which energy do we connect and go with and how do we flow?”

Energy is all around us, everything is energy/matter, the stuff we can feel constantly, but can’t see. Everyone has their own energy, every thought, word and emotion is energy and creates a vibration, just like radio waves. So when we say….go with the flow, what we are really saying is….go with what flows from you naturally, go with the light energy that is guiding you that day, go with what naturally presents itself and brings peace. So much in this world we are acting from a place in our brains that continually plays negative thoughts, or we act from a belief of what we “should do” or trying to create something we were told is the “right way”. This my friends, is death to the spirit in all forms. True authenticity, peace and happiness comes when we connect to the true flow or spirit within us and then let that guide us in our daily lives. True creation of life and peace comes when we begin to act from this place inside and begin to create our thoughts from this place of light, joy, love and goodness and in this begin to partner with God in creating our lives instead of following a programmed response and tape from our heads.

Moving into a space of  living consciously or living in flow is what brings peace and joy. What does it mean to be conscious?  It means to be fully aware, to be make choices consciously, from our heart space where free energy lives. It means to choose our life and letting our soul, along with God be our guide. Be aware at the choices we are making, choosing our lives in the moment, instead of reacting. When we choose to live in flow, we are choosing to let light and truth guide our lives. We are choosing to come from a place of real freedom. When we are living from our heart center, we are free.

So, the next question is….how does one connect the heart and the head so they work together and one is living consciously and in flow? First, you need to give yourself permission to put off all the “have to’s” and “musts” in your life and start giving yourself permission to do the want to’s  and to turn some of the have to’s into wants. In this you move yourself into a space of needing to listen to your heart and striving to connect with it. Meditation is a good first step into starting to connect with your heart.  Each morning put time aside to just be still and connect with your heart space and meditate. When you pray from this space you will feel your connection with the Divine and be working with the same heart and mind, this is how you begin to start conscious living.  By staying connected to your heart space, you stay connected with the Divine.  As you make it a priority throughout the day to keep this connection, you will begin to live more in flow and freedom. Really the saying “practice makes perfect” can be applied here.  The more we practice connecting each day and put our energy in this, the easier it becomes!  I pray for your success in connecting and learning to live in flow. God Bless!

Healing Hearts And Marriages

Many of you that know me, know that I have been in a separated relationship with my husband for 9 months, God used that time to teach and refine me. Truly when we turn our lives over to the Lord, we do not always know the coarse or see the way, but we can be of good comfort knowing that He has a plan and He will lead and guide, bless and direct if we let Him. I’ve learned this journey called life is about choices, it’s about what we cultivate in our hearts and minds that assist in creating the life we live. I have witnessed God’s mighty power and grace in our lives and surely God is truly a God of Miracles. He does the work of light and love, He has the power to touch hearts and heal in ways that no human being can. Our family has been touched and blessed by the Grace of God and we truly have received miracles and for this I am forever grateful.

Forrest and I had an opportunity to go to Nashville with our company, to learn the business, to connect with friends and to be inspired. I had a prayer in my heart going on this trip, that parts of my heart would be healed and softened towards Forrest as we have just begun to come together again and to heal and put back the pieces of our shattered hearts and relationship. Forrest made it easy to strive for this as he focused the entire trip on what he could do for me and for our team. His desire to serve and his willingness to sacrifice his own needs began to soften my heart and open my eyes to the man that he is striving to become. I will not lie, I felt much conflict and fear realizing that I needed to open my heart more to him and be vulnerable. I fought it and I had to surrender to feelings of remorse of leaving the single life behind as I was seeing that as freedom. Mostly, I had to face the deep fear that I had, the fear of being vulnerable and the possibility of being hurt again or falling into the same patterns. God had spoken over and over again, that some of that was in my control. It is how I chose to see the relationship, it was how I chose to act. It wasn’t until I took a stand within myself, that I made a clear decision to try again, to give it all I had to heal and do things differently that clarity came.

Sunday morning we attended the services that the company provided as they are a Christian-based company and it had been our experience in the past that so much good was done there and we had felt the Spirit of the Lord so strongly and been taught. We had come to love their Sunday services and the experience of feeling the energy of the love of Christ permeate a huge room and fill us up. It was during this service that the Lord spoke right to my heart. He said ” Your marriage is healed, see it has healed.” Move forward with this in your heart and mind. This thought broke through the darkness and confusion and was an answer of great hope and healing for me. I understood what the Lord was implying and teaching me…”see the thing you wish to be, create by your belief and your attitude and your vision what you want it to be. Act as if it already is.” I understand now that when we have a dream or a vision and hold fast to that, keep that in our minds eye and act in faith as if that has already become a reality, we actually call it into reality with greater speed and power.

We are living in a time when everything that we need is literally at our finger tips. The Lord is waiting to bless us with all that we need if we will but ask in faith and then act as if it has already been given. This is putting faith in action and using our agency to stand in our power to choose our lives. Our minds are very powerful and thoughts create. If you are in a place in your life that you do not like, if you are in a situation that you want to change. Ask the Lord to help you change your vision, switch your thoughts to what you do want and align your actions as though it has already happened. This brings magic to mayhem. It immediately puts you in a place of power in your life. The Lord wants us to stand in our power and to be powerful like He created us to be. We literally have the ability to create our lives by the thoughts we focus on and the intention we take our action in. I am grateful to know that I am on the path of healing and look forward to the many days of happiness ahead.

Do The Thing You Fear

norunningaway

As I have returned home from a Zeal For Life business convention, all fired up and ready to go, ready to move mountains in myself and in others, I realize fear is the number one obstacle that keeps me from moving forward. I have a new motto now….”do the thing you fear!” This has given me guidance and helped me day to day build confidence in myself. When we know we are afraid of something, especially of doing something we know we need to do or God has asked us to do, when we move through the fear and do it, we are blessed with confidence. Every day I use this motto as my gauge and my encouragement. If I find myself feeling down, or wandering around in confusion I ask myself “what are you afraid of doing?” “what are you avoiding doing?” and when I identify it, that is what I do that day, the very thing I am avoiding because it is the #1 thing I need to do that day or I would not be getting opposition. As I have been doing this, I realize my confidence and peace grows strong, I feel in control of my life and myself. When we move through our fears and are proactive in facing them we are empowered to be in a place of action to use our agency, instead of being in a place of reaction and feeling controlled. It is liberating to conquer our fears, to move through them and beyond, for God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of courage! So today, I say “rise up!”. Identify your fears, face them and move through them to a life of greater freedom. This life is about acting, creating, growing….the more we get out of our comfort zone, the greater our ability is to be led by an all loving and knowing God and to partner with Him in helping ourselves and others in profound ways. Rise up, face those fears, do the thing you fear and move into freedom and peace!

Do you believe in Miracles?

flowerinhands

Have you ever been so afraid of something that you have fought tooth and toenail to not have to do anything to deal with it or step a foot in the direction of resolving it? I believe we all have something like that and I have come to realize that my fear is committing to relationships. Committing to caring, loving, being open and letting others care for me, I have been afraid of jumping in with both feet and giving something everything I’ve got.  I have not always been this way, I did this with dance as a youth and in other relationships when I was young, but not that way now.  I think its because I have been hurt, like we all have in close relationships, maybe its because I am afraid of failing, or getting in way above my head. Maybe it’s because I am afraid of losing myself and giving away my personal power, like I did in my marriage for 10 years.  So the thing I’m talking about is real for me right now, I have a choice of whether to jump in after 9 months of separation and try this marriage thing again to a changed man or go run the other direction and see what else is out there for me.  To some, it would seem so simple, cut and dry….I am not some people, I am me and those who know me know that most things are not simple and clear cut in my life.  The question that it has really come down to for me to day is this…”Do you really believe in the Lord’s power to heal and change hearts?  Do you really believe in the power of the Atonement?…you say you do and here is an opportunity to really show your children and those around you that you do, yet you are struggling, why is that?”

Why am i struggling?  I think the question is…Do I really believe?  This is what I have come to: I believe that we have challenges in our lives to test and solidify our belief in God and his power and his words…..and I believe this is a test for me.  A test to really prove and strengthen my resolve of what I truly believe.  I believe in the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I believe that when we really come to Him humbled and ready to give him our hearts and really ready to change, we are blessed with the strength to do so, through the Atonement. I do believe the more we come to Jesus, the stronger and purer we become.  I do believe we all have the capacity to become new in Jesus Christ. I have in many different ways, so why couldn’t my husband….and who am I to judge him or to cause a stumbling block for him in his humble journey and progression towards his godly self.  Doesn’t the Lord simply require a broken heart and a contrite spirit, a willingness to take upon us His name and keep coming to him so we can be changed through his love from the inside out?  I prayed for 9 months for this to happen for my husband….doesn’t God live and doesn’t he hear and answer prayers? Yes, yes He does, He did and I am a witness to that.

I feel that we need to be very careful with each other, we need to allow our loved ones to change and believe that when they make the effort to do so and invite their Savior to help them, they can do it.  We need to speak life in Jesus to each other.  We need to not only lift each other up, but we need to cheer each other on and not create stumbling blocks by holding others to their old ways.  Anyone and everyone can change when they come to Jesus and let the blood of His Atonement wash them clean.  When they let the all encompassing Love of the Savior touch them to the very core. When they are willing to give up all their sins to know the one and only true Son of God. How can one not be changed when touched to the very core with the all powerful and encompassing love of the Savior of the World? It can happen and does and I have been a witness of this in my own life and now as well as my husband’s……miracles happen to those who believe and I believe in miracles.

Be Still

As I am preparing to uproot my family and move to another location, alone….I am coming to understand and appreciate more and more the counsel from God to “be still and know that I am God.” I woke up this morning feeling a great amount of anxiety because things were not working out the way I wanted and I felt that things were unraveling before me, that I was not going to get to where I wanted to go. The fighter in me began to rise up my thoughts began something like this, ” I will be moving this week come hell or high water, I don’t care what I have to do, this will happen!”  And my anxiety grew and I could not feel the spirit of the Lord with me, I hate that feeling! So I began to get still inside, quieting my thoughts and striving to connect back with my heart.  I began to speak to myself again “You are in the Lord’s hands, he will help you and watch over you. Maybe this is all happening for a reason. Let him guide you, go with the flow. ”

It has been a year now since I wrote this and on that day, I did move forward, my children and I, with my cousins help, moved 2 hours away and started our new life.  It has been a journey of learning and I have been a witness of many miracles. God sustained us and opened doors that day, just as He has every day since.  He has sent people at needed times and Angels to uplift, sustain and edify me and my family.  He has blessed us with money out of  no where and opportunities for more. To this day, I continue to learn that God speaks to us in many different ways, but the most powerful way is when He speaks directly to our hearts in a way that we must be still to hear and know.

I’ve come to understand that being still means that I quiet my mind, I stop thinking and I just quiet everything in my body and feel.  When I do this, it’s when I can feel Him so near and in a quiet but powerful way He speaks right to my heart.  I have noticed that knowing this has given me so much strength and direction in the mist of confusion.  I know that if I can get quiet and look into my heart, He will be there and I know it is Him because only He can speak to the heart, my spirit. His still small voice, cuts through the loud confusion and fear and anxiety quickly. His voice is gentle, direct and  brings peace and a feeling of overall well being.

“Being still”  means that we don’t react to the voices of fear and doubt and negativity that surround us and bombard our minds on a consistent basis.  God knows when we get still, we are putting ourselves in a place of hearing and receiving, its when we can receive clearly and then move forward with power. Getting still requires us to use our agency in a powerful way in the midst of confusion, confusion is of the devil, he wants us to get caught up in reacting.  When we react to fear and anxiety, we give Satan power over us, but when we make the choice to get still in the midst of confusion, we are taking a very powerful stand for ourselves and God.  We are disengaging from the confusion that is of Satan, we are saying “I see you Satan, I know what this is and I am not going to participate and you cannot have power over me.”   When we choose to get still and seek God, we are showing forth true power and inviting God’s power to carry us forward and through.   So when you and I begin to feel worry, doubt, fear and anxiety….we need to recognize it for what it is, and then get still, look for God, invite Him into our hearts and receive what He has to give.  God truly lives, is over all and offers His love and peace always in every moment. We  just need to “be still and know that he IS God.”bestill
